Pondering Incredible Business Communication Blog
March 2nd, 2010Communication lies at the heart of any business. Writing is a tool of communication; it is not simply a way of conveying a conversation. It can be just like Business Communication in many ways. It was only because I said something that immediately made the other person see we were talking about different things that suddenly we started making sense to each other.
This is not an uncommon problem in business. It would be similar to a business communications textbook many times. As the saying goes; lose lips sink ships.
Soon, we will have super small devices that operate by voice and eventually by thought. I’ve often read in books about writing that you should think of yourself having a conversation. Of course, on the flip side is the dirty word of secrets and many folks who are not privy to secrets feel disrespected because they are not trusted and therefore, do not give their 100% at work. For instance, many folks have a lot of knowledge, experience, observations, insight and original thoughts.
The storage capacity will be better than the library of congress even for a device the size of a mini-cell phone. This simple thing is to never assume anyone knows anything. Oftentimes, it can be just like a business writing textbook. As a draughtsman I quickly had to learn that you must assume the person who was looking at your drawing knew nothing.
